Like the adjoining building in Rua da Prata (also managed by Krest), Rua do Comércio 23-31 and 33-55 are in the Pombaline Lower Town of Lisbon. The whole neighborhood is a tourist favorite, but an ideal workplace as well. Public parking is easy, schools and universities abound and public transport by metro or boat is quick and efficient.
The premises date back to the period after 1755, when the Great Earthquake ravaged the entire city. The Pombaline Cage Technique was the first example of earthquake-resistant construction. Today, many of these buildings are occupied by banks, insurance companies and public institutions.
The Comércio building has 4 floors, of which the upper levels serve as offices. The adjoining Rua da Prata office is also part of the Krest portfolio.
